Add bourbon, lemon juice, simple syrup, and egg white to a shaker and shake for 15 seconds.
Add ice to the shaker and shake for an additional 15 seconds.
Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with ice.
Add 3-5 dashes of bitters.
Add orange wheel and cherry garnish if desired.
