A recipe for a classic lemon drop cocktail. This is commonly served in a martini glass with a lemon wedge or twist garnish and a sugar rim.

Classic Lemon Drop Cocktail

Servings: 1

Ingredients

  • 2 oz vodka
  • 1 oz simple syrup
  • 1/2 oz triple sec
  • 1 oz lemon juice
  • ice
  • sugar (for rim)
  • lemon wedge or twist (garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the glass by coating the rim with lemon juice. If using a fresh lemon, brush the lemon wedge along the rim to coat it.
  • In a cocktail shaker, combine the vodka, simple syrup, triple sec, and lemon juice with ice. Shake to mix.
  • Pour mixed drink into prepared glass. Top with optional garnish of lemon wedge or twist.
