Equipment
- shaker
- highball glass
Ingredients
- 2 oz tequila
- ½ oz lime juice
- 1 ½ oz grapefruit juice
- ½ oz simple syrup
- 1 ½ oz club soda
- lime wedge (for rim)
- flaky salt (for rim)
- ice
- optional: grapefruit wedge garnish
Instructions
- Add the tequila, lime juice, grapefruit juice, and simple syrup to a shaker with ice and shake for 10 seconds.
- Prepare the glass by rubbing a lime wedge along the rim and dipping the rim into the salt to coat it. Add ice to the glass.
- Strain the mixture into the glass.
- Top with an optional grapefruit wedge garnish if desired.
Notes
- Fresh juice from squeezing a grapefruit can help this drink stand out.
- If you have grapefruit soda on hand, you can replace the grapefruit juice, simple syrup, and club soda with 3 ½ oz grapefruit soda. Add the grapefruit soda to the final glass after shaking the tequila and lime juice.
