Dark and Stormy

Equipment

  • highball glass
  • spoon

Ingredients

  • 2 oz dark rum or spiced rum
  • ½ oz lime juice
  • 4 oz ginger beer
  • ice
  • optional: lime wedge garnish

Instructions

  • Add the lime juice to a highball glass filled with ice.
  • Add the ginger beer and stir lightly.
  • Hold a spoon with its back facing upwards over the top of the glass and pour the rum onto the back of the spoon and into the glass, creating the effect of layered colors.
  • Serve with a lime wedge garnish if desired.
